faune sauvage est rare mais on y retrouve quelques espèces
intéressantes comme le
Phyllonicteris poeyi, une chauve-souris endémique.
Un des groupes zoologiques les plus importants de Cuba est sans
doute celui de la classe de Amphibia. Parmi ce groupe, on retrouve
plus spécifiquement le Urodela, une des plus petite grenouille
du monde (Sminthillus limbatus), propre à Cuba et que l'on
rencontre sur le territoire.
